FAQ(Just ask):

Switched Nodes but It Did Not Work? SSRocket Node Switch + Subscription Update Guide (Shadowrocket / Clash)

A lot of people run into this: you changed your node on the website, but back on your phone or computer it’s still the same. The switch didn’t fail — you just skipped a step: updating the subscription in your client app. This guide lays out the full node-changing flow in plain language, with hands-on examples for Shadowrocket and Clash.

Why Changing a Node Takes Two Actions

After you join SSRocket, your account has one subscription link — think of it as a node list with all the nodes you can use. Import it into your app, and a row of nodes appears for you to choose.

Changing a node is really:

  1. Switch node (on the website) — pick the node you want.
  2. Update subscription (in the app) — get the latest node list into the app.

Why both? When you switch on the website, the website updates right away; but your app is still on the old cached list and doesn’t know you switched. So you update the subscription in the app to fetch the latest list — then the new node appears and works.

Remember: switching on the website is “placing the order”; updating in the app is “receiving the delivery.” Order without delivery, and it never reaches you.

Step One: Switch Nodes in Your Account

  1. Log in to your SSRocket account (My Account).
  2. Find the “Node Subscription” card with the node list below it.
  3. Select the node you want and tap “Switch.” A success message means you’re done.

Step Two: Update the Subscription in the App (the part that makes it work)

What it is and why: your subscription is like a list that gets updated. When the website side changes, the app doesn’t know automatically — you refresh in the app so it fetches the latest list. That’s “updating the subscription.”

Using Shadowrocket (iPhone)

  1. Open Shadowrocket and go to the home screen.
  2. On the home screen, pull down to refresh — it fetches the latest list.
  3. Select the node you just switched to and flip the top toggle to connect.

Using Clash (desktop / Android)

  1. Open Clash and go to the “Profiles” page (your subscription is here).
  2. On your SSRocket card, tap the refresh button (the circular ↻ icon) to fetch the latest list.
  3. Go to the “Proxies” page and select the node you just switched to (or pick “Auto” for the fastest).

From now on, whenever a node changes, just update the subscription in the app — no re-copying the link, no re-importing.

Troubleshooting

Q: Switched on the site, no response in the app?
A: Update the subscription in the app (pull-to-refresh in Shadowrocket / tap refresh in Clash), then re-select the node.

Q: Do I need to re-copy the link or re-import?
A: No. Just tap refresh — the link stays the same.

Q: Will updating wipe my settings?
A: No — it only refreshes the node list; other settings stay.

Q: Refreshed but still no new node?
A: Confirm the website “Switch” showed a success message; do a full refresh in the app; if it still fails, contact live chat for help.
